Resolution 21-78
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River liquor operations raised $9,240 in fundraising at the
liquor stores and silent auction. Silent auction items were donated from Coors, Dahlheimer
Distributing, Diageo, Bernick's, Johnson Brothers, Breakthru Beverage, Gallo, Phillips, Play
It Again Sports, the Elk River Fire Auxiliary, and the public with the intent it be used by the
Elk River Fire department for the purchase of thermal imaging and extrication equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four -fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Coors, Dahlheimer Distributing, Diageo,
Bernick's, Johnson Brothers, Breakthru Beverage, Gallo, Phillips, Play It Again Sports, the
Elk River Fire Auxiliary, and the public for their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
Westgaard and duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof. Mayor Dietz, Councilmembers Christianson,
Westgaard. Wagner, and Beyer and the following against: none, whereupon said resolution
was declared duly passed and adopted.
The following members were present: Mayor Dietz, Councilmembers Christianson,
WesWard. Wagner, and Beyer and the following absent: none.
