Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the hiring of Dawn Robertson to the position of building permit technician effective January
3, 2022.
Background/Discussion
Following the resignation of Kati Peterson, we went to market to fill this position. We received 18 applications
and offered interviews to eight candidates. Based on two interviews and background and reference checks, we
recommend Dawn Robertson for this position.
Ms. Robertson’s early career was managing in the restaurant industry. Most recently, she worked as a
dispatcher/office assistant for a garage door company and as an office support specialist for Anoka County.
Ms. Robertson will start at step A of pay grade 5N. All pay and benefits will be consistent with city policy.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
