Action Requested
Designate, by motion, the Star News as the city’s official newspaper for legal notices.
Background/Discussion
State law requires the city to annually designate a qualified newspaper for publication of legal notices. The
newspaper must meet specific rules and must be chosen based on their location.
The Star News meets the qualifications and is in the city so it must be chosen.
