SUBJECT: HVAC Equipment Maintenance
Currently the City does not l1a"ve a contractor to maintenance the City buildings H',T AC
systems. Yale 1:vlecllanical \vill be contracted in 2006 to do the technical maintenance of all
City buildings tllat can not be perforlned by staff. Yale IVlechanical \vill do tlle 2005 fall
maintenance of our H'l AC systems for $3,340.00 or one 11alf of the 2006 contract. The
benefits of tills agreement \vould be:
o A sa\Tings of $60 for truck trip fees
o Up to a $10 per 110ur labor cost savings
o Priority service
Recommendation:
Staff recommends a contract \vith Yale NIecllanical for $3,340.00 to be funded by Council
Contingency for 2005 fall maintenance. Staff \vill be on hand to ans\ver any questions.
