NONDEMANDALLELECTRICSERVICE Available:WithinElkRiverMunicipalUtilities(ERMU)establishedserviceterritory. Applicable:Availablefornonresidentialcustomeraccounts.ExistingornewCustomeraccountswith electricenergyasasolesourceofheating,andwithactualorprojecteddemandsoflessthan50kWfor theprevious12consecutivemonthsifapplicable.WhentheCustomerachievesanactualmaximum demandof50kWorgreater,theCustomerwillbeplacedontheDemandElectricServicerateinthe nextbillingcycle.TheCustomeraccountsshallbeincompliancewithallpolicies,procedures,andsafety requirements,andshallbetakenthroughonemeter.Ratingofindividualsinglephasemotorsandother singlephasepowerandheatingunitsservedunderthisscheduleshallnotexceedten(10)horsepower (or7.355kW)exceptbyspecialpermission.(Notapplicabletoresale,standbyorauxiliaryservice.) CharacterOfService:AC,60cycles,120voltsor120/240volts,singlephase;120/208volts,or277/480 volts,threephase.Fourwire,240voltsthreephasewillonlybeapplicabletoexistingcustomersnow beingservedbythisvoltage.ACustomerrequiringvoltagesotherthanthatalreadyestablishedby ERMUshallberequiredtoprovidesuitablespaceandlocationfor9wa ƭtransformers,meteringand associatedequipment. PowerFactorAdjustment:Theratessetforthinthisschedulearebasedonthemaintenancebythe Customerofapowerfactorofnotlessthan98%atalltimes.Ifthepowerfactor,asmeasuredbythe electricdepartment,islowerthan98%,themonthlydemandchargemaybemultipliedbytheratio98% dividedbythemeasuredpowerfactor,orat9wa ƭoption,thepowerfactormaybecorrectedatthe /ǒƭƷƚƒĻƩƭexpense. FluctuatingLoads:Customersoperatingequipmenthavingahighlyfluctuatingorlargeinstantaneous demand,suchasweldersandXraymachines,shallberequiredtopayallnonbettermentcostsof isolatingtheloadfromthebalanceof9wa ƭlines.Nomotorlargerthanten(10)HP(or7.355kW)will beallowedtobeacrossthelinestartedwithoutnotificationandwrittenauthorizationfromERMU.In addition,Customerswhofailtoprovideadequatecorrectiveequipmentshallberequiredtoownand maintaintheirowntransformers.
