Applicable:Tosinglefamilyresidences,nondemandanddemandcustomersreceivingserviceunder anotherrate,whoaddasecondmeterforanyofthefollowingcontrolledloads: DualFuelSpaceHeatingRate:ThisProgramisavailabletoresidentialcustomersonly.Adualfuelspace heatingsystemconsistsofanelectricheatingsystemandasecondarynonelectricspaceheatingsystem bothcapableofheatingthelivingspaceatdesignconditions.Interruptionsoftheelectricheating systemwillusuallyoccurforupto12hoursdailyonpeakwinterdaysandamaximumof400hoursper heatingseason. e,thecustomershallprovide: Toqualifyforthespecialrat 1. Anelectricspaceheatingsystemwhichcanbeinterruptedbyasingle5ampratedrelay. 2. Asecondarynonelectricspaceheatingsystemcapableofautomaticstartupandcontinuous operationuponinterruptionoftheelectricheatingsystem. 3. ObtainaloadcontroldevicefurnishedbyERMU. 4. Accommodationsforameterandloadcontroldeviceandassociatedwiringinstalledaccording totheapplicableelectricalcodes,andinstalledbyaqualifiedelectrician. 5. InspectionbyaStatecertifiedelectricalinspectorandarepresentativeofERMU. 6. Radiantheatintheslabofthebuildingqualifiesfordualfuel,notelectricthermalstorage. 7. DualFuelisnotallowedingarages,polesheds,oranystructurethatdoesnotconfirmtothe residentialbuildingcode. 8. Exceptionsbymanagementapprovalonly. ERMUshallprovide: ctricenergyconsumedbytheprimaryelectricheatingsystemat$0.06200632perkWh. 1. Allele 2. Duringpeakloadconditions,ERMUwillturncustomercontrolledelectricalheatoffforextended periodsoftimeasstatedabove. 3. Ametertomeasureelectricityconsumedbytheelectricheatingsystem. 4. Toqualifyforthespecialrate,thecustomershallprovide: 1. AnETSspaceheatingsystemlistedbyULorsomeothernationallyrecognizedtestingagency whichcanbeinterruptedbyasingle5ampratedrelay. 2. ObtainaloadcontroldevicefromERMU. 3. Accommodationsforameterandloadcontroldeviceandassociatedwiringinstalledaccording totheapplicableelectricalcodes,andinstalledbyaqualifiedelectrician. 4. InspectionbyaStatecertifiedelectricalinspectorandarepresentativeofERMU. ERMUshallprovide: 1. AllelectricenergyconsumedbythisETSsystemat$0.04770486perkWh. 2. Thisequipmentwillbeenergizedonlyfor8offpeakhoursdaily.Additionalontimeisprovided onweekenddaysandholidays. 3. AmetertomeasureelectricityconsumedbytheETSspaceheatingsystem. 4. AloadcontroldevicewhichwillautomaticallycontrolETSspaceheatingsystemduringonpeak hours. RateissubjecttoapplicationofPowerCostAdjustment(PCA). Federal,state,andlocaltaxesmayapply. ElectricThermalStorage(ETS)WaterHeatingRate:ThisProgramisavailabletoallERMUcustomers. AnETSwaterheaterisdesignedwithextrastoragecapacitytoprovidetotaldomestichotwaterneeds fromelectricityconsumedonlyduringeightoffpeakhoursdaily.Offpeakhourstypicallyoccurbetween 11PMand7AM.QualifyingETSconfigurationsmaybealargesingletank,dualtanksplumbedinseries, oranelectricandnonelectrictankplumbedinserieswiththeelectricplacedonthecoldwaterside. Electricwaterheatermusthaveanenergyfactorof.91ormoreandaminimumof80gallonsofstorage capacity. Toqualifyforthespecialrate,thecustomershallprovide: 1. AnETSwaterheatingsystemwhichcanbeinterrupteddirectlybyasingle30ampratedrelay. 2. ObtainaloadcontroldevicefromERMU. 3. Accommodationsforameterandloadcontroldeviceandassociatedwiringinstalledaccording lectrician. totheapplicableelectricalcodes,andinstalledbyaqualifiede 4.
