Background/Discussion Newly hired firefighters are placed into the fire academy and once they have graduated they serve an additional six months of probation before becoming full-fledged firefighters for the City of Elk River. Firefighters, O’Connor, Hooper, Hampton, and Yess have displayed the character and skills required to be part of the Elk River Fire Department.
