DISCUSSION:
The IT/OT Technician continues to work with City of Elk River IT staff on various projects.
Over the past month, there have been updates to server backup software, phone
system upgrades, and planning for network monitoring software.
I have been assisting with plans for relaying replacements at the West substation, which
includes a replacement of the substation transformer relaying, battery bank, and
associated wiring.
Two staff members from Delano Public Works and Delano Public Utilities visited the
construction at the Field Services Building and toured the City of Elk River Public Works
facility. They are in the early stages of planning for a joint utilities and public works
facility and were looking to see what we have found helpful. City staff gave a tour of
public works building and had very good input on options to plan for.
