Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the low bid and authorize the execution of a contract with North Valley, Inc. for the
construction of the 2022 Street Improvement Project.
Background/Discussion
Staff prepared plans and bidding documents for a small mill and overlay and trail maintenance contract that
concentrates maintenance on areas that must be completed this season. The project includes resurfacing 1.4
miles of streets and trail micro sealing and overlay.
A total of seven bids were received which ranged from $338,381.70 to $420,969.00. A tabulation of the bidding
results is attached. The low bid was submitted by North Valley, Inc.
The schedule for the project is as follows:

Financial Impact
The bid includes costs of approximately $213,000 for work associated with the street rehabilitations and
$125,000 for trail improvements.
We currently have $300,000 and $200,000 budgeted respectively for street pavement rehabilitation and
trail/parking management.
