Resolution 22-16
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Establishing
Precincts and Polling Places
WHEREAS, the 2020 Census has been completed and the Minnesota State Legislature has
been redistricted; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute §204B.14, subd. 3 (d) requires that precinct boundaries
must be reestablished within 60 days of when the legislature has been redistricted or at least
19 weeks before the state primary election, whichever comes first;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Elk River,
Minnesota, hereby establishes the boundaries of the voting precincts and polling places as
follows:
Precinct I A: City Hall, 13065 Orono Parkway
That part of Ward 1 lying generally south of the following described line:
Beginning at the intersection of U.S. Highway 10 and Zebulon Street (westerly corporate
boundary) thence east along the centerline of U.S. Highway 10 to the east shore of Lake
Orono, thence south and east along the easterly shore of Lake Orono and the Elk River,
following the east shore until it terminates at the Mississippi River.
Precinct I B: United Methodist Church, 1304 Main Street
The part of Ward 1 lying generally north of the following described line:
Beginning at the intersection of U.S. Highway 10 and Zebulon Street (westerly corporate
boundary) thence east along the centerline of U.S. Highway 10 to the east shore of Lake
Orono, thence south and east along the easterly shore of Lake Orono and the Elk River,
following the east shore until it terminates at the Mississippi River.
Precinct 2A: Elk River Public Works, 19000 Proctor Road
The part of Ward 2 lying generally west of the following described line:
Beginning at the intersection of Trunk Highway 169 and County Road 33 thence north
along the centerline of Trunk Highway 169 to the northern corporate boundary of the City
of Elk River.

The part of Ward 2 lying generally east of the following described line:
Beginning at the intersection of Trunk Highway 169 and County Road 33 thence north
along the centerline of Trunk Highway 169 to the northern corporate boundary of the City
of Elk River.
Precinct 3A: FT Center, 1000 School Street
The part of Ward 3 lying generally west of the following described line:
Beginning at the intersection of Trunk Highway 169 and the Mississippi River thence north
along the centerline of Trunk Highway 169 to County Road 33.
Precinct 313: ISD 728 District Office, 11500 193'd Avenue
The part of Ward 3 lying generally east of the following described line:
Beginning at the intersection of Trunk Highway 169 and the Mississippi River thence north
along the centerline of Trunk Highway 169 to County Road 33.
Precinct 4A: Emmanuel Christian Center, 18912 Twin Lakes Road
The part of Ward 4 lying generally south of the following described line:
Beginning at the intersection of County Road 12 and County Road 13 thence east along the
centerline of County Road 12 to the eastern corporate boundary.
Precinct 413: Fire Station #3, 9921 1915t Avenue
The part of Ward 4 lying generally north of the following described line:
Beginning at the intersection of County Road 12 and County Road 13 thence east along the
centerline of County Road 12 to the eastern corporate boundary.
Attached to this resolution, for illustrative purposes, is a map showing said precincts and the
location of each polling place.
