Background/Discussion
Staff will use this time to update the board on relevant topics. Among the topics:
A closed session is scheduled follow the EDA meeting for updates from Hardin Companies on leads related to
EDA-owned properties.
The Beautification Committee will reconvene in May after a winter hiatus. One point of open discussion will be the
committee's direction and activities for 2022. On a similar note,the Public Art Committee has not met since the
Slipstream installation was finalized. It is likely a meeting of the committee will be held in the next couple months to
discuss direction and priorities also.
Minnesota will be featured in upcoming edition of Expansion Solutions magazine. Elk River EDA has included an
ad in previous features and has included an ad in this edition also. It will run at the end of March.

Support Elk River's existing businesses through relationship building,programmatic offerings, and high-quality city
services. Attract new business development to Elk River to build the City's economic vibrancy, job offerings and
tax base.
