Approve, by motion, the promotion of Zack Carlton to the position of Community Development Director
effective April 19, 2022.
Background/Discussion
Item 4.7 identifies a redesigned organization chart effecting the Administration and Community Development
Departments.
The current Community Development Director, Suzanne Fischer, will transition to a new position of
Environmental Services and Special Projects Director and Zack Carlton will be promoted to the Community
Development Director position.
Mr. Carlton will be paid at pay grade 3E step C. All other terms of his employment will be consistent with city
policy.
Financial Impact
Financial impact would be about $8,600 for 2022 and would be budgeted for in 2023. There is a savings of about
$54,000 from eliminating the environmental coordinator position.
