Provide feedback on the proposed Land Use and Zoning Map amendments.
Background/Discussion
The Comprehensive Plan was adopted by the City Council on October 18, 2021, and within the document is the
Land Use map. The Comprehensive Plan made numerous changes to the Highway Business,Business Park, and
Industrial categories. The Zoning Map should be updated to reflect the recently approved land uses.
Staff is only presenting the changes to the Highway Business,Business Park, and Industrial categories currently.
Remaining land use and zoning districts will be discussed later.
Staff also suggests a few changes to the Land Use map,largely due to overlooked or omitted parcels. For
example, the property just east of Zylstra's was approved to have a Land Use of Traditional Single-Family
Residential but should be guided for Highway Business.
Please review the proposed Land Use and Zoning Maps. Staff has included the existing maps for your reference.
