Background/Discussion The FuYniture and Things Communityr Event CenteY has two Zamboni ice resurfacing machines. The 2008 model is nearing the end of its useful life. The machine was scheduled to be Yeplaced in 2021 but we delayed the purchase until it showed further signs of failure. RecentlyT, we have had to replace the hydraulic motor for the vertical auger and the main hydraulic pump that feeds the hydraulic fluid to the steering, vertical, and horizonal motors. It is now scheduled to be replaced in 2023. Due to demand and supply chain issues, the lead time is more than one year at this time. Zamboni is now Yequesting a down payment of $25,000 with the order of the machine. Making the purchase now will ensuYe we `vill have the machine b�T mid-2023. Financial Impact The Multipurpose FacilityT Fund t�TpicallyT would be used for facilit�T capital purchases. Due to lost revenue during the past three seasons due to facilityT construction and the covid pandemic, the fund balance is well below the cost of the machine.
