Staff will be attending their second year of the Minnesota Municipal Clerks Institute,
May 9-13, which is taking place during this meeting. The institute, which is offered
through St. Cloud State University, is a three-year continuing education program leading
to professional accreditation.
Per the Governance Policy G.3e General Manager Performance Planning and Evaluation
and consistent with Governance Policy G.3d Monitoring Performance of the General
Manager, the Commission conducts a formal evaluation of the General Manager during
the second quarter of each fiscal year. Theresa Slominski’s performance evaluation will
be conducted during a closed session at the June 14, 2022 commission meeting. An
email providing a link to the evaluation survey will be sent out within the week.
On May 18 the Communications & Administrative Coordinator will begin her first
training through ed2go, an online platform provided in partnership with Anoka
Technical College. This service offers convenient, cost-effective staff development in a
variety of topics. Staff’s first training will enhance skills in Adobe Photoshop.
Social media posts feature a variety of topics including: Lineworker Appreciation Day,
Earth Day, acknowledgements sent to participants of the Clean Energy Choice program,
our reliability excellence award, Drinking Water Week, hydrant flushing, and
announcements such as upcoming commission meeting dates. As you can see, our new
Communications & Administrative Coordinator found her stride very quickly!
