Liquor Reroof Projects

Action Requested
Reject, by motion, the single bid received from Palmer-West Construction Inc. in the total amount of
$1,034,000.00 for the reroof of City Hall and Northbound Liquor.
Background/Discussion
These two reroof projects were approved in the 2022 Capital Improvement Plan with a total budgeted amount of
$500,000. Since the estimate last year, associated material costs, procurement delays and labor shortages have
increased these projects by a factor of 2-3 times.
Staff will delay bidding out the reroof of city hall due to the increased cost with the hope prices will correct for
next year. We will send out a hard quote for the Northbound Liquor reroof and bring that back for consideration
soon as the Northbound Liquor bid price in the combined bid we received was close to the budgeted amount.
