Background/Discussion
Together Elk River – Orange Ball Creative has developed the first batch of social media posts in support of the
169 Redefine project, which will go out each Friday for the rest of May. They are also finalizing some print materials
which can be utilized by community businesses to support business activity and provide information on
construction impacts.
Beautification Committee – The committee met for the first time in 2022. They intend to solicit projects for the
2022 Beautification Award following their June meeting. They are also looking at other efforts, including
promoting community beautification through marketing efforts. Staff shared ideas that were discussed at the April
EDA meeting, including focusing on beautifying community corridors.
Public Art Committee – has not met since Slipstream was installed in 2021. We will convene a meeting this
summer, and then likely on an as-needed basis only throughout the rest of the year.
