Adopt, by motion, a resolution acknowledging a donation from Republic Services.
Background/Discussion
The City’s waste disposal provider, Republic Services, donated the shredding fees incurred at the 2022 Spring Clean
Up day. Staff was notified of this donation at a June 4 meeting with Republic team members. This donation
alleviated a $1,177 cost to the city program.
All donations, by law, must be accepted by resolution.
Financial Impact
$1,177 budget savings to the Garbage Fund.

A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging A
Donation
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a donation in the amount of $1,177 with the
intent it be used by the Environmental Department for shredding fees associated with the
Spring Clean-Up day.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Republic Services for their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
___________ and duly seconded by Councilmember ______________, and upon vote
