Extend, by motion, the deadline to record the final plat of Island View Seventh Addition to August 20,
2022.
Background/Discussion
The Final Plat of Island View Seventh Addition was approved on August 20, 2019. Resolution 19-37
requires the final plat to be recorded no later than two years from the date of approval. The applicant is
requesting a retroactive extension to August 20, 2022.
Staff has no concern with the extension as requested, with the understanding that all conditions of
approval, including development fees, must be addressed prior to recording.

Re: City of Elk River — Resolution 19-37
Dear Mr. Carlton:
Please be advised that the undersigned law firm represents SnL Island View Properties, LLC ("SnL").
As you may recall, the Elk River City Council passed Resolution 19-37 on August 19, 2019 approving
a plat combination proposed by SnL. A copy of the resolution is attached for your reference.
SnL has requested that we contact your office and ask that the City Council grant a one (1) year
extension of Resolution 19-37 retroactive to the resolution's termination date of August 20, 2021 so
that SnL may complete the recording of the plat and allow the county title examiner to file the
Application to Change Title to Property in Sherburne County District Court.
Also enclosed herewith is a copy of the plat drawing that was submitted to the City Council in 2019.
SnL will be requesting that the drawing be updated to (1) correct the spelling of "SnL", (2) update
the Surveyor's Certificate and (3) remove the city attorney's signature block. If you have any other
changes or corrections, please let me know.
