Field Services Facility Expansion Project Update

DISCUSSION:
Over the past month, the majority of the drywall has been installed on the second floor. The
remaining windows are waiting on site grading, which is currently being held up by concrete
installation. Garage doors arrived during the week of June 23, with multiple doors that will need
panels changed after installation, but they are being installed to secure the building.
Upcoming work for the next month is expected to include continued work in the upper level
such as drywall, painting, electrical installation, and plumbing fixtures. There are various
locations throughout the garage that need concrete issues addressed, but with garage doors
installed, the majority of work in the garage will be complete in July. Staff is expecting that we
will get a temporary certificate of occupancy near the end of the month to begin transferring
inventory.
Staff expects to present a verbal update on the initial structural steel contractor's default and
overall project schedule at the commission meeting.
