MMUA Summer Conference
ACTION REQUESTED:
Contingent on Mark Hanson attending the MMUA Summer Conference, allow one additional
participant to attend.
BACKGROUND:
The Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association's (MMUA) Summer Conference will be held
August 22 — 24, 2022, at Madden's Resort. This is a great opportunity for staff and
commissioners to meet with other members of this state organization for education,
networking, and MMUA's annual business meeting.
DISCUSSION:
Every year we budget for the five Commissioners, the General Manager, and two staff inembers
to attend this important conference. The new General Manager, Mark Hanson, is hoping to be
able to attend and it was suggested that the current GM attend as well to facilitate
introductions. As this would be an unbudgeted participant, it would be good for the
Commission to discuss and approve.
