Staff Update

DISCUSSION:
• Staff is currently in the middle of a trial on a second cloud-based phone system in
conjunction with City of Elk River staff. We expect to evaluate the two vendors after the
trial is complete and move forward with a selection.
• We are working with City IT staff to install and implement additional network
monitoring equipment. We will be targeting a date in August for the annual Information
Security Committee meeting.
• I have been assisting the tech services department in troubleshooting some substation
and controls equipment with setpoints and event recording setpoints.
• We are still working through details on Advanced Metering Infrastructure vendors to
understand differences in features between the systems.
