Adopt, by motion, a resolution accepting the donation from the Zimmerman Fire Relief Association to the Elk
River Fire Department.
Background/Discussion
The Elk River Fire Department received a monetary donation in the amount of $2,000 from the Zimmerman Fire
Relief Association to be used for rescue equipment.
The Zimmerman Fire Relief Association operates a pull tab booth located in Elk River and this donation is from
those proceeds.

A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $2,000 donation from the Zimmerman Fire
Relief Association with the intent it be used by the Elk River Fire Department for rescue
equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend the Zimmerman Fire Relief Association for
their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
___________ and duly seconded by Councilmember ______________, and upon vote
