I . Call Meeting to Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River City Council
was called to order at 4:31 p.m. by Mayor Dietz.
2. Pledge of Allegiance
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
3. 2023 Budget
Ms. Ziemer presented her staff report. Various staff presented their proposed goals
and budget for 2023.
The Council discussed the following and asked for clarification from staff:
■ Discontinue 5-year contract paying the Great River Regional Library for 3
additional operating hours per week; contract will not be renewed. It was
consensus of Council to remove the 3 additional hours from weekday evenings,
closing an hour earlier, and staying open on Saturday until 3:00 p.m.
■ Orono Park kayak rentals: research rental options and consider a Request for
Proposal.
■ Facilities Maintenance: Clarification with Performance Measure "PM Work
Order completion rate at 30%" — Council asked why are only 30% are being
completed? More information.
