Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the hiring of Timothy DeBiaso for the position of Facilities Maintenance Technician
effective September 7, 2022.
Background/Discussion
A new facilities maintenance technician position was added to the 2022 budget. We went to market to fill the
position and received 14 applications. We interviewed eight candidates and narrowed the pool to three to meet
with again. Following the second interview, background, and reference checks, we recommend Timothy DeBiaso
for the position.
Mr. DeBiaso holds an associate degree in heating and a bachelor’s degree in operations management. He has been
working in the facility maintenance field since 2014, most recently as the maintenance supervisor at St. Patrick
Catholic Church in Oak Grove.
In this Local 49 position, Mr. DeBiaso will start at the first pay step for this position. All pay and benefits will be
consistent with union contract and city policy.
Financial Impact
This new position was added during the 2022 budget process.
