Approve, by motion, the 2022 Street Maintenance Division Equipment Replacement Fund purchase of a Crafco
SS250 Crack Seal Melter.
Background/Discussion
The Street Maintenance Division requests authorization to proceed with the purchase of a Crafco SS250 Crack Seal
Melter.
In June of 2022, the division’s Cimline crack seal trailer was destroyed by a fire following a mechanical
failure in the firebox. After paying the insurance deductible, the city received $33,000 from our insurance. This
trailer was scheduled for replacement in 2024 in the Equipment Replacement Fund.
Purchase of the replacement trailer will be made utilizing current state contract pricing.
