DISCUSSION:
• The IT/OT Technician has been working on details for the IT and communications
equipment for the new Field Services Building. We are done with all IT and Security
work until we are moving into the full building.
• I am still working with engineering firms to begin specifications for replacement of the
Otsego substation transformer. Lead times are currently around three years, and with
the age of the existing transformer staff is looking to get an order placed in the near
future.
• We are reaching out to find a network design consultant to talk through fiber network
layout to make sure we are planning for future connections and growth.
• The Information Security Committee met at the end of August and discussed current
issues, a few of the topics we talked through were policy, multifactor authentication
options, and network scanning equipment.
