The Customer Service Department and Communications Department worked with NISC to create and brand the second phase of our bill redesign. The Understanding Your Bill flyer helps explain the changes to the bill. Attached are the two bill inserts. July and August social media posts will feature a variety of topics including: closing the door on energy waste, whats your energy style pop quiz, National Safe Digging Day, and ERMUs Budget Billing Program. A notice will also be posted regarding the August commission meeting date and change of meeting location. In addition to the scheduled posts, time-sensitive messaging is posted as needed; a good example of this is the water main break that occurred the first week of August. Our social media platforms are a valuable tool for quickly relaying important information to the community. This months featured blog and social media post ERMU FAQ: Summer Energy Usage. Over the past month, our Customer Service Representatives and Conservation & Key Accounts Manager have received a large volume of calls from customers concerned about their high bills. In addition to the one-on-one conversations we have with our customers regarding spikes in usage, we are always looking for ways to educate our customers about this topic. Our Communications Coordinator worked with the Customer Service Department to come up with a list of the most frequently asked questions, and put together a very informative blog to help our customers understand why their bill fluctuates in the summer months, and what they can do to conserve energy. A link to the blog is listed below. The ERMU website overhaul initiative continues to progress as planned. We are nearing the end of stage 3 of the web development process which is the programming stage.
