DISCUSSION:
Installed 13 new house services, requiring the connection of a secondary line once the
customer requests service.
On July 27, a contractor sent a ground rod through Feeder 52 in Otsego, causing a
power outage for customers in the area. This required the installation of six splices to
repairthe underground feeder.
Staff had to raise the newly installed transformer for the Coborn’s grocery store being
built in Otsego, due to a miscalculation of the grading and curb specifications by the
developer.
Painted the poles of four streetlights on Quantrelle Avenue in Otsego. The bulbs were
also upgraded to LEDs.
The electric department has begun moving the overhead linefor the planned
improvements to County Road 12.
Staff has been working on the final stages of the Jarvis Street rebuild which was
completed onAugust 6. This project will improve electricserviceandcapacityfor the
area.
Work continues on the Edison Street rebuild which involves replacing the overhead line
with underground.
The electric department is working oncompleting infrastructure for the MiskeMeadows
Sixth Addition. This involves installing transformers, conduits, as well as secondary
pedestals, and then heating the line.
Staff moved astreetlight at Lion John Weicht Park at the request of the Elk RiverParks
and RecreationDepartment.
