DISCUSSION:
• In June, the locating department had a total of 597 locate tickets consisting of 6
emergency tickets, 467 normal tickets, 2 boundary survey tickets,4 non-excavation
tickets, 99 updated tickets, 7 cancellations, and 12 locate meets. This is a 16.2%
decrease in volume of tickets from the previous month.
• Electrical Technicians continue to do weekly meter reads, service orders, updating the
power bill, weekly substation checks, dealing with customer meter issues and off-peak
concerns. The electrical techs continue disconnecting the remaining off-peak radios on
thesystemas time allows. Approximately 50% of the 496 radios have been
disconnected at this time.
• On July 23, staff ran generators #1, #2, & #4 without any issues.
• Mapping department continues to update points and attributes for our systems assets
within the ESRI ArcView GIS system. The AppSuite/ESRI integration is expected to be
completed with the next iVue upgrade to version 2.48 on August 13. Staff continues to
assist the water department with on-call rotation support.
• Connexus Energy utilized a line recloser tie along Highway 10 on July 28 and 29 to
provide power to their members while they did some work on their lines. MMPA has
adjusted this usage off our July power bill.
• EIR Testing & Maintenance Co. is repairing the three spare voltage regulators we had at
the power plant. We plan to use these to replace the three on County Road 13 that
need repairs. We anticipate having them in service by the end of August.
• We took delivery of the replacement locator F150 pickup #14 from Elk River Ford on July
10. We will be sending the previouspickup #14 to auctionin September.
