DISCUSSION:
The IT/OTTechnician has been working with the City’s IT department on planning for
server upgrades, continuing with the upgrade of the commission room’s AV equipment,
and transitioning Dropbox accounts to Microsoft OneDrive.Staffis also working with
National Information Solutions Cooperativeto update oursoftware, which will happen
on the evening of August 13.
We have an Information Security Committee meeting set for August 24 at 2:00 p.m. on
Zoom.
Our next Field Services Workgroup meeting is scheduled for August 12 at 8:00 a.m. in
the Elk River Fire Station’s Emergency Operations Center.
We have finished reviewing drawings of the recloser for the power plant substation
relocation and are working to finalizing construction drawings for installation of the
foundation and conduit this fall. We still expect to receive the transformer in early 2021.
We continue to move forward with plans for the field services facility. We are finishing
addressing comments from field staff and expect to move into detailed design after our
meeting with Kodet next week.
