Action Requested
Accept, by motion, the single bid received from Palmer-West Construction Co. in the amount of $151,000 for the
reroof of Northbound Liquor.
Background/Discussion
Earlier this year bids were sent out for the reroof projects of City Hall and Northbound Liquor that were approved
in the 2022 Capital Improvement Plan. We received a single bid which was rejected due to significantly increased
costs for the city hall portion of the project.
We are bringing back for consideration the bid for the Northbound Liquor reroof project that can be completed
yet this year instead of incurring additional costs next year.
Financial Impact
The Northbound Liquor reroof project is budgeted in the Liquor Fund and approved in the 2022 CIP.

Re: Northbound Liquor
Roofing and Sheet Metal Work
Palmer West Construction Company Inc., proposes to furnish the material and labor necessary to perform the
roofing and associated sheet metal work, as follows:
Proposal Includes: Approx. 6,400 sf Addenda 0
Johns Manville 60 mil EPDM fully adhered over 5.5 inches polyisocyanurate insulation (R30) fastened
Includes new, 24-gauge, sheet metal copings
and flashings for the roof system.
Proposal assumes structurally sloped metal deck. If tapered insulation is needed, price will change.
Also includes removal and reinstall of pavers at drip line. Additional cost if new pavers are needed.
Roof related flashing and sheet metal copings

** Our bid price to complete: $151,000.00
* Price to add payment and performance bond: 1% contract amount
Proposal does not include:
1. Mechanical, electrical or plumbing work
2. Snow & ice removal
3. Bonds, permits & allowances
