The customersare transferred onto the new underground service with only the removal of the overhead lines remaining. Joe Schmidt from Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association (MMUA) was here on September 29 and held safety meetings on Hazardous Energy Control. He also held makeup First Aid/CPR sessions for anyone who missed previously. We moved inventory out of the lower shop and into the new field services building. Many members of the field staff pitched in and helped inventory staff complete this task. Crews installed 1,500 feet of single phase underground for a new service on the rd northeast side of Elk River near Monroe Street and 223 Avenue. Matt Zipp, Blaine Snyder, and I attended the MMUA Overhead School held in Marshall September 13-16. st Crews replaced a streetlight pole that was struck by a vehiclenear Polk Street and 201 Avenue. Crews worked at the Cargill Complex installing 600 feet of three phase underground primary and installed the transformer for the service to the new lab building. ______________________________________________________________________________ Page 1 of 2 103 Crews lowered approximately 400 feet of 500 MCM underground feeder wire along th Dodge Avenue north of 5 Streetrelated to the Highway 169 Redefine project. Crews are currently working on installing transformers and pedestals for six new services to feed lights, signals, and traffic management equipment at Highway 101and th Avenue related to the Highway 169 Highway 10 as well as at Highway 169 and 197 Redefine project. The operations director and I met with a representative from AltecIncto spec the digger truck we are ordering in 2023. Crews continue to change out poles which failed inspection and compromised underground infrastructure when they get the chance. Data collection on system infrastructure continues in order to work towards our goal of converting our mapping system from CAD to GIS. ______________________________________________________________________________ Page 2 of 2 104
