Action Requested
Approve, by motion, hiring the following as paid on-call firefighters effective November 7, 2022.

Background/Discussion
We went to market in June to recruit firefighters for this year’s academy. We received 30 applications and reviewed
each for response time requirements. Following, each completed a firefighter agility test, interview, background,
physical, and psychological assessment. We recommend the above 8 candidates for the position of on-call
firefighter.
With recent resignations and retirements, this hiring brings our staffing level to 51. We have 60 authorized
firefighter positions.

These are budgeted positions.
