An Ordinance Amending Chapter 74, Section 74-93, Impoundment of Vehicles, of
the City of Elk River, Minnesota, City Code
The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 74, Section 74-93 of the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances shall be
amended to read as follows:
Any police officer may remove a vehicle from a street or public parking lot, including public park
parking lots, to a garage, impound lot, or other place of safety when the vehicle is left unattended
and constitutes an obstruction to traffic or hinders snow removal or street improvement or
maintenance operations, or is otherwise parked, left unattended, or located in an area in violation
of any other city ordinance or State statute. Such vehicle shall not be released until the fees for
towing and storage are paid, in addition to any fine imposed for violation of this chapter.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption and be published as provided by
law.
