Action Requested
Adopt, byT motion, a resolution acknowledging contributions to the Liquor Operations fundraiser for the benefits
of the Elk River Fire Department.
Background/Discussion
Molson Coors approached the Minnesota Municipal Beverage Association regarding a h�Tper-localized Fire
Department fundraiser.
Liquor Operations staff thought this would be good recognition for the liquor stores and an opportunity to support
the Fire Department Customers were given the opportunityT to make a monetaryT donation at time of purchase, bid
on silent auction items donated byT vendors, and a dollar pledge per case of Coors sold during the promotional perio
of 8/11- 9/11, 2022.
An event was held at Northbound and Westbound Liquor on FridayT, September 9t1' including a ladder truck, jaws of
life extraction event, food trucks, and silent auction items. This `vas the fourth annual ERFD fundraiser event and a
total of $9,217 was Yaised for the Elk River Fire Department to be used towards thermal imaging equipment.

A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River liquor operations raised $9,217 in fundraising at the
liquor stores and silent auction. Silent auction items were donated from Molson Coors,
Dahlheimer Distributing, Diageo, Bernick’s, Johnson Brothers, Breakthru Beverage, Gallo,
Phillips, Play It Again Sports, the Elk River Fire Auxiliary and the public with the intent it be
used by the Elk River Fire department for the purchase of thermal imaging equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Molson Coors, Dahlheimer Distributing,
Diageo, Bernick’s, Johnson Brothers, Breakthru Beverage, Gallo, Phillips, Play It Again
Sports, the Elk River Fire Auxiliary, and the public for their donations.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
___________ and duly seconded by Councilmember ______________, and upon vote
being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
