Resolution 22-60
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River liquor operations raised $9,217 in fundraising at the
liquor stores and silent auction. Silent auction items were donated from Molson Coors,
Dahlheimer Distributing, Diageo, Bernick's, Johnson Brothers, Breakthru Beverage, Gallo,
Phillips, Play It Again Sports, the Elk River Fire Auxiliary and the public with the intent it be
used by the Elk River Fire department for the purchase of thermal imaging equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four -fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Molson Coors, Dahlheimer Distributing,
Diageo, Bernick's, Johnson Brothers, Breakthru Beverage, Gallo, Phillips, Play It Again
Sports, the Elk River Fire Auxiliary, and the public for their donations.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
Westgaard and duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof. Mayor Dietz, Councilmembers Beyer. Christianson,
and Westgaard and the following against: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted.
The following members were present: Mayor Dietz, Councilmembers Bever, Christianson_
and Westgaard and the following absent: Councilmember Wagner.
Passed and adopted this 7' day of November 2022.
