Adopt, b�T motion, a resolution ackno�vledging contributions to the Police Department for a statue from various
groups and organizations.
Background/Discussion
From December 9, 2021, through December 14, 2022, the Police Department received donations from gYoups and
oYganizations foY a bYonze statue totaling $22,554.70. The donoYs and intent of the donations aYe listed on the
attached spreadsheet labeled Exhibit A.
Financial Impact
The Elk River Police Department proposes to fund the commissioning of a public safetyT statue through donated
funds.

A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the communityT; and
WHEREAS, the City- of Elk River received a$22,554.70 donations from various groups
and members of the communit�r with the intent it be used b�T the police department for a
bronze statue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the CityT Council, byT at least four-fifths
vote, to ackno`vledge the support and commend all donors listed in Exhibit A for their
donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced byT Councilmember
