Staff Update

DISCUSSION:
• Staff has been attending meetings with Sherburne County to plan for the County Road
44 project.
• Working on 2023 budget items.
• We are still having issues with the fuse pads we received which were incorrectly
assembled. The problem is that there are some loose parts, and the nuts and bolts are
deteriorating. Irby Utilities is helping to facilitate a resolution to this issue. The vendor
has 8 of the 12 in for repairs currently. We received the four that were fixed.
• We received our Ford F550, and it is currently at Towmaster Trailers in Litchfield getting
the dump box installed.
• Working on getting an additional feeder line from Station 14 Bank 4 to Otsego for future
support. This project will extend into spring of 2023.
• Highway 169 Redefine meetings are winding down, the first year went very smoothly.
• Apprentice lineworker Tanner Ellis' last day at ERMU was Friday, December 9, He
accepted a job with Connexus.
• Attended the Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association Technical and Operations
conference in St. Cloud, December 6-9. It was a very good conference with lots of great
topics, and speakers.
• Attended the preconstruction meeting for a car wash in Otsego that is hoping to have
power connected in December.

• Working on plans/staking for stage three of the County Road 35 overhead rebuild. We
will start setting poles later in December.
• Moved all equipment from the old shop to the new facility. I am still in the process of
moving from the old office building.
• Participated in administrations director interviews Monday, December 5.
• The deputy general manager along with staff from key accounts, electric, technical
services, engineering departments, and myself met with staff at a data center to talk
cabinet needs. They also gave us a tour of the facility.
• We finally received 20 single phase transformers this past Friday.
