04-03-1920 VCM VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL APRIL 3, 1920 rd Special meeting of the Village Council held on Saturday the 3 of April 1920 at the Officer of the Elk River Lumber Co. Members present J.H. Virgin, President, Bert Carr, Trustee and Wm Norval, Clerk Meeting called to order by the President at 8:30 p.m. th Moved, seconded, and carried that the fees of the clerk and judge of election on March 9 1920 be allowed at $3.00 instead of $2.00 allowed by the statute. The clerk to draw warrants to pay the same. This meeting was called for the purpose of paying all bills due by the present council and any other th business that may present itself before the meeting before the new council meets on the 6 April 1920. The Village Clerk Wm Noval gave the council notice that he had not qualified for the Office of Village Clerk for the coming year and that this would be the last meeting he would attend as his year st begins on April 1 1920 he also informed them that the Book had been balanced for the last year and would be ready to transfer to his successor at any time.
