VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 13, 1920
Regular meeting of the Village Council held at the office of the Elk River Lumb Co on Tuesday,
April 13, 1920.
Members present J.H. Virgin, President, Bert Carr, Trustee, Chas Selhauer, Trustee, D.W.
Longfellow, Trustee.
Meeting called to order by the President at 8:15 p.m.
G. Chase and Donald Davis appeared before the council to find out if there had been any band fund
levied for $100.00
John Vacher presented a petition to the council regarding the water main whether they could be
extended up Princeton Street as far as his place which is one (1) block north of Tenth St.
John Hamilton offered the Village use of his land as a public dumping ground for the present time
until further notice by him is given. This is the property which he bought from Fred Corey.
Motion made by D.W. Longfellow that there be installed Street lights on the Elk River Bridge at the
Domm Motor. Seconded by Chas Selhauer and carried that lights be installed.
Motion made by Chas Selhauer and seconded and carried that a light be installed on corner of Mill
St and 6 Street.
No further business. Motioned made meeting adjourned.
