VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
MAY 22, 1920
Special meeting of the Village council was held at the office of the Elk River Lumber Company.
Members present J.H. Virgin, President, Bert Carr, Trustee, Chas Selhauer, Trustee, D.W.
Longfellow, Trustee, M.P. Williams, Clerk
Meeting was called to order by J.H. Virgin, President, at 8:00 P.M.
Visitors present were Sam Houlton, L.K. Houlton, Charles S. Wheaton Sr., Frank Brown, Edson
Parker, Mr. Rollins.
The purpose of the meeting was in regard to the special assessment made on frontage tax after some
discussion there seemed to be no opposition to the frontage tax.
Mr. Crounse of the Construction Co was at the meeting representing to the
council pipe connections and fitting.
No more business. Motion made by J.H. Virgin seconded by Bert Carr. Meeting adjourned.
