VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 25, 1920
Special meeting of the Village Council held at the offices of the Elk River Lumber Co.
Members present J.H. Virgin, President, Bert Carr, Trustee, Chas Selhauer, D.W. Longfellow,
Trustee, M.P. Williams, Clerk
Meeting was called to order by the President at 8:15 P.M.
The purpose of this meeting was to take care of urgent business at this time.
Motion made by Chas Selhauer and seconded by D.W. Longfellow that a galvanized pipe be used
from curb cach out to goose neck cupling \[sic\]. Motion accepted and passed by Council.
Motion made by Chas Selhauer and seconded by D.W. Longfellow that John Virgin, Bert Carr,
D.W. Longfellow be authorized to purchase all necessary material and hire necessary help pertaining
to putting water service connections.
Motion accepted and passed by the council.
Motion made by Chas Selhauer and seconded J.H. Virgin that 300 ft of rubber hose be purchased
from W.S. Nolt Coal #1.20 per ft (target brand) and that a warrant be given for all year at 6% int.
Motion accepted and passed by council.
Motion made by D.W. Longfellow and seconded by Chas Selhauer that five lawn seats be
purchased.
Motion put to vote and accepted by the council.
Motion made by J.H. Virgin that three health officers be elected or appointed. The following were
appointed to act as health officers. Dr. G.E. Page, D.W. Longfellow, Chas Selhauer. Motion voted
on and passed by the council.
The following bills were allowed and ordered paid.

1913 Vernon Cemetery Assn dues for 1919 4.00
1914 Elk River Transfer Co 2.00
