VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
FEBRUARY 1, 1921
Special meeting of the Village Council held in the offices of the Elk River Lumber Co Feb 1, 1921 at
8 p.m.
Members present J.H. Virgin, President, Bert Carr, D.W. Longfellow, Trustees, M.P. Williams, Clerk
Meeting called to order by the president at 8 p.m.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved by the council.
The purpose of the meeting was to check if ordinances which were written up by the clerk which
was done.
Motion made by D.W. Longfellow and seconded by Bert Carr that the bill to the First Nat’l Bank of
Elk River as fiscal agent in Re: water works bond issue of $26,000.00 dated Jan 1, 1921 due Jan 1,
1936.
Motion was voted on and accepted by the council.
Motion made by D.W. Longfellow and seconded by M.P. Williams that warrants be issued for the
following bills which are allowed.
2042 First Nat’l Bk for draft int on bonds issued for $40,000.00 $1000.00
2043 Elk River Lumber Co merchandise 40.45
2044 First Nat’l Bank fiscal agents on bond issue 65.00
2045 Carr and Hall water meters and connections 237.00
2046 Elk River Power and Light Co street lights 119.00
2047 Elk River Power and Light Co power for pump 17.50
2048 Elk River Power and Light Co merchandise 8.80
2049 Will Giff as village sheriff for Jan 1921 75.00
