VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 5, 1921
Special meeting of the Village Council held in the office of the Elk River Lumber Co April 5, 1921.
Members present J.H. Virgin, President, Bert Carr, Chas Selhauer, D.W. Longfellow, Trustees, and
M.P. Williams Clerk
Motion made by Chas Selhauer and seconded by Bert Carr that minutes of the last meeting be
approved.
Motion accepted and passed by the Council. The question of granting permission to the Elk River
garage to install an oil filling pump on Depot Street near the north end of the garage facing and lying
on Jefferson Highway and between said Highway and sidewalk.
Motion made by D.W. Longfellow and second by Chas Selhauer that the request be rejected.
Motion accepted and passed by the Council.
Motion made by D.W. Longfellow and second Bert Carr that the council take it up with the Railroad
Co to have crossing lined up with street and graded. Motion accepted and passed by the Council.
The question was brought up regarding as to what method of operating the fire alarm system and it
was decided to call the Chief to the next meeting and the matter be decided then.
Motion made by Chas Selhauer and seconded by D.W. Longfellow that the following bills be
