VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
MAY 10, 1921
Special meeting of the Village Council held in the office of the Elk River Lumber Co May 5, 1921
Members present J.H. Virgin, President, Bert Carr, Chas Selhauer, D.W. Longfellow, Trustees, and
M.P. Williams Clerk
Meeting called to order at 8:15 p.m.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
A petition for sidewalk on the frontage on the property of the signers of petition which consists of
W.P. Pepin, Finley McNeil, Charles H. Bade, A.H. Meyers, H.A. Hall. The petition was discussed
and final action will not be taken until a later date.
Motion made by C. Selhauer that the clerk see Tyler attorney in regard to sidewalk ordinance and the
laws pertaining to sidewalks.
Motion second by D.W. Longfellow. Motion accepted and passed by the council.
Motion made by D.W. Longfellow and second Bert Carr that we authorize S.W. Carter contractor to
grade from end of Park Street to the Public Picnic Grounds for 40 cents a cubic yard.
Motion accepted and passed by the Council.
Motion made by Chas Selhauer and second D.W. Longfellow the following bills be allowed. Motion
accepted and passed by the council.
