VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 14, 1921
Regular meeting of the Village Council held in the office of the Elk River Lumber Co.
Members present J.H. Virgin, President, Bert Carr, D.W. Longfellow, Trustees
Mr. Longfellow handed in his resignation and asked the council to vote on some motion made by
Bert Carr second J.H. Virgin that the resignation of D.W. Longfellow be accepted.
Motion accepted and passed by the council.
Mr. Bates was present to see the Council regarding the position for pumping water. Mr. Bates wants
$2.00 per day for pumping water for the village.
This matter was talked over and it was decided not to hire Mr. Bates.
Motion made by Bert Carr and seconded by J.H. Virgin that the following bills be allowed and
warrants issued for same.
Motion accepted and passed by the council.
