VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 1, 1923
Special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Library Room on Friday June 1, 1923
Present –C.A. Morse, Pres, Geo Cornelius and B.E. Fournier, Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk
Meeting called to order by the Pres at 7:30 p.m. This meeting was called for the purpose of acting
upon the resignation of C.A. Morse as President of the Council he having been appointed post
master and no longer qualified to act as President of the Council.
The President proceeded to sign all bills proper for him to sign including bill of the E.N. Daly Co
for Ford Truck amount $400.00 for the Fire Department on motion said bill having been allowed.
The President then presented his resignation as president, and desired
immediate action on same. On motion his resignation was accepted.
After considerable discussion by the Council no action was taken in appointing a successor.
Meeting adjourned.
