VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 15, 1923
Special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Library room on Friday, June 15, 1923.
Present – Geo Cornelius and B.E. Fournier, Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. on motion B.E. Fournier was elected temporary chairman.
The principal business to come before this meeting was to elect or appoint a President of the
Council to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of C.A. Morse.
On motion duly seconded and declared carried Charles E. Brown was appointed to fill the vacancy
until the next election. Clerk instructed to notify said C.E. Brown of his appointment.
On application was presented to the OCuncil by the Trustees of the St. Andrews Church Society for
a permtit to hold dances.
The said application having complied with the new law in such cases provided on motion their
request was granted and clerk authorized to issue permit.
