VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 2, 1924
A regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Library Room on Monday, June 2, 1924
Present – Roland K. Wilson, Pres, L.L. Bishop, Trustee and W.F. Chadbourne Clerk
Meeting called to order by the Pres at 8 o’clock P.M.
Reading of the minutes dispensed with.
On motion the following improvements were ordered.
The Clerk was instructed to have the band stand painted and repaired as soon as possible.
The Park Com. Were instructed to have the park near the M.E. Church moved and the water pipes
extended to attach hose. Also to have the Co. Surveyor set the grade stakes along Park street and
intersection of Main Street to Hastings Addition.
It was decided to have a second coat of paint put on the water tank. James Robinette was instructed
to proceed with the work.

The Clerk was instructed to notify Peter Jacob to build sidewalk on south side of 6 Street in front
for his property.
On motion the sum of 25.00 was voted to pay the expense of firemen to attend fireman’s
Convention at Mankato.
The following bills were presented on motion allowed and clerk directed to draw warrants for same.

T.H. Daly ins on tank 198.00
E.N. Daly rent and repairs 17.25
E.R. Building Co street 90.00
